at specially organised
fests.
Game, fresh pasta,
home-baked cakes,
cheeses and vegetable
dishes are part of the
Collesalvetti area's
gastronomic tradition,
and are well
complimented by the
flavoursome locally
produced olive oil.
Numerous events are
held to celebrate local
products, from
"Settembre.di vino",
an exhibition-market of
wines produced in the
area to "Pane e olio di
frantoio" (bread and
olive oil), which is held
in Parrana San Martino
in November. "Golosa
Colognole" is an event
organised in June to
promote honey, a
quality product thanks
to careful beekeeping
practices.
